Observing World Environment Day
The World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness to take positive environmental actions in order to protect nature and the planet Earth. The theme for World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 focus on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign # Beat Plastic Pollution. Keeping this aim in view, NSS Training College, Ottapalam organized various programs to stand as the beacon for environmental resilience. The day was observed by Haritha Nature Club and National Service Scheme (Unit No: 301) in collaboration with college IQAC. Plant a sapling ceremony was done by college Principal, Prof (Dr.) Ampili Aravind. Followed by this, campus cleaning and sapling distribution was conducted. The entire programme was organized by Dr. K S Sajan (IQAC Coordinator), Dr. Sunilkumar A S (NSS Programme Officer), Dr. Anu S (Haritha Nature Club Coordinator) along with all other faculties, non - teaching staff and student coordinators. The event was conducted successfully with the wholehearted participation of all students. As a whole the day was a great success.
