WORLD WETLAND DAY OBSERVANCE
World Wetland Day, celebrated annually on 2nd February, which signifies the importance of wetland conservation and thus raise awareness about wetlands. This day also marks the anniversary of the Ramsar Convention, which was adopted as an International treaty in 1971 in Ramsar, Iran. Haritha Nature Club observed World Wetland Day 2022.
WORLD WETLAND DAY THEME 2022
The theme for 2022 is “Wetlands Action for People and Nature” which highlights the importance of wetland protection which help to decrease its loss and there by maintain natural wetlands and its associated benefits including flood abatement, improved water quality, erosion control, habitat enhancement etc…
Second session of the inauguration program along with World Wetland Day Observance includes various events arranged by students and all these were combined together as a worth product of this day observance.

All these events were combined together and make a single video and uploaded in college youtube channel. Each events portrays the need of wetlands and these programs enhances each individual’s responsibility to protect wetlands.
These programmes of this day were coordinated by Krishna A V, Arunkumar P A and Anuraj M K together with enthusiastic efforts of all optional coordinators and Nature Club members.
